CHANGING THREADS March 25-April 14, 2011 Nelson Refinery Artspace, Nelson, New Zealand

A showcase of contemporary NZ Fibre and Textile Arts at The Refinery Artspace in Nelson. I will be exhibiting two pieces in this exhibition.

I will be exhibiting "Flight Formation" and "Childhood Totems" in this show. It is a great opportunity to showcase some of my fabric work in this context. I have chosen 25 of my fabric airplanes and they are being installed in the shape of a flight formation similar to the one taken by Canadian Geese. Childhood Totems has been a work in progress over a few years and consists of four columns of painted fabric shapes that gently move like a child's mobile.
