Studio is up and running!

My studio is at 50 Keeling Road in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand

One thing about moving into a new studio space is that you realize how much junk you have. At least 50 Keeling Road is a bigger space and I am able to accommodate glass, ceramics,painting and fabric work. I have a separate small room for finishing, plaster work, and steaming- all of the messy processes separate from the rest of the work!

I have three kilns- a small one I use for quick firings and pate de verre. A medium top loader and a medium front loader. These were kilns that we used ay Richmond Road studios so have a great history to them.

You can also see one of my work areas with great natural light and work tables. I use this area for putting my wax shapes together, carving and any ceramic assemblage.

I also have a couple of walls for painting and drawing and have set up an industrial sewing machine for canvas construction. I have not yet used it, but I think it will come in handy...

A thinking table/desk area always seems to pile up with papers and doodles...

The studio has great natural light and it makes a great place to display all of my small 'utterances'.
