LANDFORMS
During the initial isolation of COVID 19 I was in New Zealand. I felt the distance and loneliness of being away from the Northern Hemisphere, but I also relished in the beauty and solitude of the Southern Hemisphere beaches. I created a number of temporary installations on the beach using molds I had initially created for the wonderment series, and used the readily available material and locations at hand- sand and beaches. The work only existed as long as the wind or tide allowed.
When I later returned to Canada I created "Forest Floor" which is a response to staying close to home and being grounded it what surrounds me.
