"Whistler Rock face", 2018. Kiln-Cast Glass (Bullseye) HIGHY COMMENDED in the U.K Warm Glass Competition, Bullseye Glass, 2019; on View in Dublin, Ireland at the Ireland Glass Biennale (October 23-January 7th, 2020). This piece is part of my series in glass investigating the topographies near my home in Whistler, BC and Matapouri, New Zealand. Though initially this work appears different from my 'Wonderment' series and installations, it is linked by the  magic of investigating and noticing all that is close by. Other pieces in this glass series were created between 2015-2018, and continues as an ongoing investigation.

Freestanding and Hand Held Pieces
These pieces are freestanding and the viewer is able to hold them in their hands. They are reminiscent of the early paperweights where a miniature world is created and captured in glass. These pieces capture a landscape feature and miniaturize it into a kiln-cast glass piece.
